In order to get the instructions you need to give them personal information. They asked for my credit card info!! Red flag! Do not trust this company. We are bummed as it looks like a great product. Just not worth the potential risk.

Fun, but the motor piece broke rather quickly. Now they’re pretty much just building blocks.

My kid LOVES to play with this and be creative with it, it’s been really fun to see what he comes up with. The only bad part about it is the buzzer. It’s LOUD. And annoying. And it’s not just a second of beeping, it will continuously beep until they stop holding the button or move away from the sensor. It needs to be quieter and not such an obnoxious frequency.
Price point feels a little high for being “fancy” duplos and other connections would be nice, besides just a light and buzzer. Depending on how interested your kid is in it, they may bore quicker. Overall though, it was a decent purchase.

Das WhalesEbot 7 Set wird in einem stabilen Koffer geliefert. Im Koffer befinden sich neben den Bausteinen auch einige Anleitungen für die unterschiedlichen Modi und eine Sortierauflage mit unterschiedlichen Vertiefungen.
Die Klemmbausteine erinnern an bekannte Hersteller und sich einfach zu handhaben.
Die App ließ sich einfach herunterladen (auf Android)
Hier haben sich die Herren des Hauses an den Bausteinen und der Programmierung ausgetobt, da sie sehr technik-affin sind.
Und dass das Set eigentlich als Kinderspielzeug beworben wird, hat hier niemanden gestört.
Bislang wurde auch erst einmal das Programmieren und ausprobieren getestet, bevor die Bauanleitungen umgesetzt werden. Deswegen gibt es auch noch keine Fotos von den fertig zusammengebauten Ergebnissen. Erst einmal forschen, dann Bauen – so scheint es hier zu laufen.
Auf jeden Fall ist der Spaßfaktor ziemlich groß!

🎁Unboxing / Erster Eindruck:
WOW – selten habe ich ein so hochwertig erstelltes „China-Lego“ gesehen: Die Teile sind alle von sehr hoher Güte, die Anleitungen und Beileger sind auf Deutsch (!!) und die gesamte Aufmachung der Box und des Zubehörs stehen dem Original nicht nach. Allerdings bereits hier der Hinweis, dass es sich von der Art und Form her zwar an Lego Technic annähert, aber mit diesem nicht kompatibel ist, das es sich um einen anderes Rastermaß handelt. Außerdem gilt zu beachten, dass man ohne Smartphone nicht weit kommt, denn es sich keine gedruckten Bauanleitungen beigelegt. Allerdings ist das nur eine relative Einschränkung, da man ja spätestens zur Programmierung ohnehin ein Smartphone oder einen PC braucht.

Zunächst muss die „WhalesBot“ App auf das Handy geladen werden. Diese App stellt die Bauanleitungen und die Programmiersoftware bereit. Es empfiehlt sich hier bei ein Tablet oder zumindest es großes Smartphone, da die Bauanleitungen sonst kaum erkennbar sind.
