bought the newyoo Tricycle for Toddlers 1-3 for my 12-month-old daughter, and I couldn’t be happier with the purchase! From the moment we assembled it (which was surprisingly easy), she was absolutely thrilled. The tricycle feels sturdy and well-made—no cheap plastic parts here—and the colors are vibrant and fun without being too flashy.
What I love:
• The adjustable seat and foldable pedals make it super versatile as your child grows.
• It works as a balance bike, pedal trike, and even a push trike—great value since it grows with your kid.
• The steering handle gives me full control when we’re out and about, and it’s easy to maneuver.
• The wheels are quiet and smooth, even on rougher sidewalks.
A couple of small things to note:
• It’s best for shorter rides—if you plan to go on longer walks, keep in mind your toddler may tire quickly.
• The parent handle could be a little taller (I’m 5’10”), but it’s not a deal-breaker.
Overall, this tricycle is an awesome mix of fun, safety, and practicality. Highly recommended for parents looking for a solid ride-on toy that encourages independence but still offers parental control. My daughter rides it every day—money well spent!
We got this bike for our daughter’s 1st birthday and she’s been hooked ever since. It is light and easy to travel with so we have taken it to ball fields, the baby sitter’s, and even CrossFit competitions. We love that it’s easy to assemble, adjusts with her as she becomes more capable, and has straps to keep her safe.
It was a HIT !!!! My one year old absolutely loves this! A great investment to transform through stages from learning balance to full out riding a bike. The craftsmanship is excellent. It is very well made and sturdy! Putting it together was easy, however, pay attention to the pedals. I almost threw away the “spacers” because I thought they were in the wrong box but they are definitely needed for pedal placement in the balance stage. Simply me not paying attention to the diagrams but it is easy to over look. It will also help to refer to the pictures of the bike on Amazon.
At first I missed a step in the instructions and I was ready to return the bike as having incompatible components. I’m glad I didn’t though. I took a break from it and then went back to building it and was able to put it together, realizing my mistake. It’s easy to put together if you are patient and pay attention to detail.
It’s easy to steer/control. Right now my 2 year old is using it with the foot rest mode since he can’t reach the pedals 100%.
A couple of design ideas I would wish for to make it better would be, slightly longer bar for parents. This is echoed by some other reviews. I am 5’3” and I think it is almost good enough for me but after pushing it for a mile I was starting to stoop a bit and feel it in my back.
I also wish there was a break on the wheels so that if my tot tries to climb onto the bike unattended (which has happened once) it wouldn’t roll away from them and cause distress or potential injury.
And lastly, I wish the pedals had some kind of strap to help feel stay put/not slip off. When he starts to learn to propel the bike in pedaling mode I might create something depending on how he does.
This little toddler bike is very sturdy and worked well for our grandson. The push stick guides it very well and made it fun to push him until he was able to move it on his own. Having the option of pedaling is a plus. He has not been able to master that yet but is starting to progress into that stage. Best of all is their customer service. We recently backed over it with our car and the rear wheel was mangled. We weren’t even going to bother contacting them about replacing parts, but my husband reached out. Believe it or not, they are sending the main assembly to us for free! Highly recommend this company and their sturdy little trike!
