Recent medical graduate, did my entire 7 years of medical school in Peru, with a Littmann Classic 2 SE, noticed that the acoustics were finally diminishing after many falls and rough handling (had I taken care of it I think it could of easily reached 15 – 20 years), and decided to invest in a new Stethoscope, I could not be happier with the performance in acoustics. I was stuck between the Cardiology IV and the Cardiology Master, but decided on this one because of the the bell I could use on pediatric and thin patients.

I was worried about the price of this stethoscope but once I started using it, I was satisfied with it. It is not “lightweight” but you can hear everything. My office can be a bit noisy and I can still hear it all. I like this model so much I bought another one. It is worth the price.

Definitely lives up to it’s reputation of Littmann quality. As a Respiratory Therapist I probably went overboard with this purchase but it was worth every penny spent. Breath sounds are never a question with this stethoscope.

Beautiful stethoscope! My SO loved it, immediately commented on the sound quality, looks noticeably different while still being professional. I wish there were more subtle ways to put an ID on a stethoscope though. The last thing either of us wants is this to walk off during work hours like a previous one did. The circle IDs don’t live up to the appearance of this model. Only complaint is item was marked delivered 5 minutes before they got to my house. I literally saw the delivery arrive because I was searching in front of my house like a mad man.

I had lost my classic III on the floor for several weeks (ended up someone grabbed it on a code and later returned it when they found out it was mine) and bought this when it was on sale. I couldn’t be happier! I was sceptical because I really liked my classic III but the sound quality on this is out of this world, I am glad I made the investment. It is a little heavier and bulkier but I don’t mind it.

Outstanding quality. I had a Littmann for ages and thought I’d upgrade to another brand. I used that brand for a couple of years and had to consistently replace parts. This thing is an upgrade to my old Littmann and I have had people test their III against it. They cannot believe the quality of the IV compared to the III.

As an ER Nurse, this thing lets me hear exactly what I need to hear without any issues.
