This kit is awesome. They even included extra books and some extra parts, of those parts that are easy to break. I didn’t use the glue they sent. I used Aleene’s Tacky Glue. The majority of the kit doesn’t even need glue. I didn’t really like the curtains so didn’t use them. I used some of the left over books to fill in any spaces on the shelves. I enjoyed every minute of this kit assembly. Took me 17.5 hours. I recommend this kit to any adult who enjoys assembling kits. It’s worth the cost to me. The size is great for bookshelves. The colors won’t clash with home interiors.

I loved making this book nook. It is such a cool one, love the telescope, dinosaur, and globe. The way you just touch the top and the light goes on and off. My one yr old grandson loves for me to lift him up and turn the light on and off, he thinks it is so cool 🙂 The books took awhile but it was cool some of the classics I came across and trying to put them in places you can see. I had a surplus of books or maybe I didn’t jam them in tight enough. I just made a few stacks on the floor too. It was a fun build.

Took my 14y/o 5 hours to build. She enjoyed every minute!
Very well made, the instructions are clear, they give extra for important breakable pieces like the skeleton, and more books than what actually required. The lights are beautiful. Definitely worth it and will probably get more (this is her 3rd one!)

My son gave me my first book nook kit for Christmas, and I think he created a monster. I’m in love!

I got the Law Library because of the quotes on the outside of the nook, and because of its complexity. I love the law. It was part of my life for nearly 30 years, and it’s a beautiful thing when it’s not abused but applied as it was intended.

This was a challenging build, especially the spiral staircase, but the instructions are clear and easy to follow. Were it not for the quality of some of the pieces, like the green banker’s lamp, I would have given this book nook 5 stars.

The banker’s lamp came with a spare part, which is good because the first shade broke off where the shade is scored. The tabs to insert it into the bracket that holds the shade in place are so tiny that they bend and become useless very quickly. The holes these tabs fit into are not holes, but very thin slivers. I almost gave up, but I wound up removing the tabs and glued the shade in place on the bracket.
The chair legs are very, very fragile. I had to glue one back together. The other problematic piece was the ceiling lamp on the first floor. Several parts kept falling off when the light was set in place, and in fact, I lost a piece somewhere in a bookcase after the build was completed, making it impossible to retrieve. There are spare parts for this item as well, but there is no way to replace parts when the nook is already together because there is no room to maneuver. Everything is quite compact.

It would be nice if items like the banker’s lamp were just included already assembled or a small lamp included in place of the banker’s lamp. It’s too important of a piece to just give up on and leave out.

Also, pay close attention to your parts list. I thought I had run out of books, but in actuality, there were more on other boards and they were numbered differently.

All that being said, this was a joy to build. I would recommend it, and I would certainly buy it again, in spite of the portrait of RBG (Lol)! I think the finished product is beautiful.
